Psalm 137 : By the waters

"The psalm is a hymn expressing the yearnings of the Jewish people in exile following the Babylonian conquest of Jerusalem in 586 BC." (from Wiki) It is the lament of a people who disobeyed their God. It may not seem like a verse you are likely to memorize, but the music is a haunting reminder of the consequences of not following God's way.

Romans 12:1: living sacrifice

This song is near and dear to my heart because we have an old record on which my husbands late grandfather is singing this song. It is such a blessing for my children to be able to connect with those who have gone before. And what a wonderful godly man he was. I wish they could have known him.... and look forward to the day they will.

Living Sacrifice
- Chris Christian on Mirror of Your Heart -

Take my life a living sacrifice, Knowing it's the least that I can do
Make my life a living sacrifice, Holy and acceptable to You

I looked upon my life and realized at last
Within myself there's nothing I can do
and Yet here I stand to offer all I am
And give myself completely Lord to You

Take my life A living sacrifice, I know that it's the least that I can do
Make my life a living sacrifice, Holy and acceptable to You

I cannot be content until I reach that place
How little I have given up to You
Lord break down my will,
Make my desires Your own, I long to give my everything to You

Take my life A living sacrifice, Knowing its the least that I can do
Make my life a living sacrifice, Holy and acceptable to You

Take my life a living sacrifice
Knowing it's the least that I can do

Make my life a living sacrifice
Holy and acceptable to You
Holy and acceptable to You

All the images in the video are photos I have taken over the past few months.... So glad spring is here.

Psalm 100: Make a joyful noise unto the Lord

This is lovely...............

 Psalm 100

1Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
2Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
3Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
5For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
